Garrulous

adj: tending to talk a lot, effusive, loquacious

You are so garrulous I can't get a word in edge wise.

Knell

When scrooge heard the voice of his dead business partners, it was like a knell to his oncoming doom.

The armed forces put the spartan lifestyle on a pedestal.  They like stick rules in daily life and interaction, they are to the point and expect a high level of self-discipline and courage in the face of danger, pain, or adversity.

adj: talkative, speaking easily, glib, loquacious, verbose
