Diaphanous

adj: allowing light to show through, delicate

1 : of so fine a texture as to be transparent 2 : characterized by extreme delicacy of form : ethereal 3 : insubstantial, vague



I wish my blinds blocked out all of the light so that I could sleep in, but alas they are so Diaphanous that I find myself getting up with the break of day.

Synonyms: gauzy, sheer, tenuous, translucent, transparent
